Taylor Swift And Caitlin Clark Reveal Shoe Collab

Taylor Swift has teamed up with basketball superstar Caitlin Clark for a brand new shoe collaboration, and it already sounds like a massive deal. The pair have just revealed the partnership together, and people reckon the shoes could end up selling in their millions once they land in shops. It is a brilliant crossover between two of the biggest names in music and sport right now, and photos from the reveal are already doing the rounds online. Fans from both worlds have been buzzing since the announcement, trying to work out exactly what the shoes will look like and when they might actually get to buy a pair. Two huge fanbases colliding over one shoe line does not happen every day, so do not be surprised if this one sells out fast. Watch this space.

Olivia Rodrigo Praises Role Model And Sienna Spiro

Olivia Rodrigo has been showering praise on singers Role Model and Sienna Spiro after they covered her songs in the BBC Live Lounge. Both artists put their own spin on her music, and Rodrigo was clearly loving every second, calling them incredible artists for the way they reworked her tracks. Live Lounge covers are a big deal in the music world, since only the best get invited to have a go at reinterpreting someone else's song. Getting a personal shoutout from the original artist herself makes the moment even sweeter for both Role Model and Sienna Spiro. It just goes to show how much Olivia Rodrigo's songs mean to other artists, not only her own fans. Go and give both covers a listen, you will not be disappointed.

Olivia Dean Lands A Major Magazine Cover

Olivia Dean has landed a huge honour, being named the cover star of WSJ. Magazine's Fall Women's Issue. It is one of the biggest magazine spots going, and bagging it shows just how far her star has risen. The Fall Women's Issue exists to celebrate women making a real impact right now, so being chosen as the face of it is a proper badge of honour. Magazine covers like this do not come around every day, which makes it an even bigger deal. It is brilliant to see her getting recognised well beyond the music charts too, on the pages of one of the most respected magazines around. Now everyone will be after a copy the second it lands on shelves.

Today's Lesson: The Front Walkover

real Poppie words

Warm up first

  1. Warm up your wrists, shoulders, back and legs really well, on a soft mat. Never do this cold.
  2. This is a big one. Always have a grown-up right beside you to spot you, every single time.

What you need first

  1. Your bridge, handstand and splits all need to be strong before you start. A front walkover uses all three.
  2. Practise bridge kick-overs first. From a bridge, kick one leg up and over to stand up. That's half of a walkover already.

The front walkover

  1. Start in a lunge, arms up by your ears, strong leg in front.
  2. Reach down into a handstand. As your legs go over the top, split them so one leg leads the way.
  3. Let your leading leg reach down to the mat, like the top of a bridge.
  4. Push through your shoulders and stand up tall, arms back by your ears.

Build it safely

  1. Go slowly, with your grown-up holding your back the whole way, until you can control every part.
  2. Point your toes and keep your arms strong. Speed comes last: control and a grown-up's spot come first.

Coach's tip: get your bridge, handstand and splits really strong first, and always have a grown-up spotting you. On something soft! ๐Ÿ’œ

Recipe 4: Homemade Pizza

real Poppie words

Before you start

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Get everything out: a pizza base (I like making my own thin crispy one, but a shop-bought base is perfect too), a small tin of passata or tomato sauce, a ball of mozzarella or a bag of grated cheese, and whatever toppings you fancy.

The sauce

  1. Turn the oven on to hot, about 220ยฐC, so it's ready when you are.
  2. Spoon a few spoons of tomato sauce onto the base and spread it round with the back of the spoon, leaving a little gap round the edge for the crust. Don't drown it: a thin layer is best.

Build it

  1. Tear or sprinkle the cheese all over.
  2. Add your toppings, and here's the chef's rule: don't pile on too much or the middle goes soggy. A few good things beat a mountain of everything.

Bake it

  1. Carefully onto a tray and into the hot oven. A grown-up helps with the oven.
  2. About 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden. A thin homemade base cooks faster, so check it a couple of minutes early.
  3. Let it cool for a minute (the cheese is like lava straight out), then slice it up with a pizza cutter or clean scissors.

Chef's tip: less is more with toppings. A soggy middle comes from too much sauce and too much stuff piled on. Go easy and the base stays lovely and crisp. ๐Ÿ•

Funny Story of the Day ๐Ÿ˜„

Cheese Balls Spill All Over California Highway

A truck spilled a huge load of cheese ball containers all over a Californian highway, and footage of the mess went viral. Picture hundreds of tubs of orange cheesy snacks rolling across the road instead of sitting on shop shelves. Nobody was hurt, just a very cheesy clean-up job.
