Coldplay And Olivia Rodrigo Offer Cheap Mystery Tickets

Big news for gig-goers: Olivia Rodrigo and Coldplay are teaming up to make concert tickets fairer. After fans complained about ticket prices climbing higher and higher, both acts are now selling cheap 'mystery' tickets, some going for as little as $20, others around $30. The twist is that nobody knows exactly where they will be sitting until they turn up on the night, so it is a bit of a surprise. It means fans who cannot normally afford premium seats get a shot at seeing their favourite artists live without breaking the bank. It is a smart, fan-friendly move that other artists could soon copy. If you are hoping to grab one, keep checking official ticket sites, because mystery seats like these tend to sell out fast.

Today's Lesson: The Back Walkover

real Poppie words

Warm up first

  1. Warm up your wrists, shoulders, back and legs really well, on a soft mat. Never do this cold.
  2. A back walkover goes backwards, so you can't see where you're going. Always have a grown-up spotting your back, every single time.

What you need first

  1. Get your bridge, bridge kick-over and splits really strong first. A back walkover is a moving bridge, so a comfy bridge is a must.
  2. Practise the bridge kick-over lots. From a bridge, kick one leg up and over and stand up. That's the second half of your walkover.

The back walkover

  1. Stand tall on a soft mat, arms up by your ears. Lift your strong leg out in front, toe pointed.
  2. Reach your arms back over your head and lower into a bridge. Go slowly, with your grown-up holding your back.
  3. When your hands reach the mat, kick your front leg up and over into a handstand.
  4. Let your other leg follow, and stand up tall.

Build it safely

  1. Go slowly every time, with your grown-up spotting, until you can really control it. Even then, always on something soft.
  2. Keep your arms strong and your legs straight, and point those toes. Never rush a back walkover.

Coach's tip: master your bridge kick-over first, and always have a grown-up spotting your back. On something soft! ๐Ÿ’œ

Recipe 1: How to Cook a Steak

real Poppie words

Before you start

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Take your steak out and put it on a chopping board or plate.

Season it

  1. Heat your pan โ€” around medium to high heat.
  2. Salt and pepper โ€” rub it in, massage it a bit โ€” then do the other side.
  3. Put the olive oil on the steak, not on the pan.

Cook it

  1. Steak onto the pan.
  2. One minute on each side โ€” keep flipping until it looks done the way you like it: well done, medium rare, however you like your steak.
  3. Take it off the pan and let it cool for a bit.
  4. Then you can cut your steak up.

Chef's tip: the oil goes on the steak, not the pan โ€” that's how the pros do it. ๐Ÿณ
